Mental Health Awareness Day 2021

Updated: Jan 25, 2022

Yesterday I didn't post about Mental Health Awareness - not because I don't think it's important or relevant to the work I do, because it is - but because I like to practice what I preach.

Therefore I did what was needed to ensure I was optimising my mental health by...

1) Prioritising myself - not my work, not my family, not what I think I *should* do, but simply just what I wanted to do at that moment to feel happy & content.

2) Getting out in nature whilst it's still sunny and enjoying some gentle outdoor exercise to remind myself that there's a big, beautiful world out there just waiting for me to put my big girl boots on and discover it!

3) Taking a break from the countless screens & streams of data I expose myself to daily.

TIP: If you're ever feeling lost or like you don't know who you are anymore, cut out the noise - most of what you consume on your digital devices is other people's opinions or marketing, neither of which have your personal best interests at heart.

How do you choose to take care of yourself?

P.S. These beautiful photo's were taken in the serene Lineover Wood, in the Cotswolds UK during my stroll. It's a Woodlands Trust wood and you can find out more about the area below.
